Concrete Prizes

The NZ Concrete Society awards up to four Concrete Prizes each year, each Concrete Prize consisting of:

  • A framed certificate and $4,000 cash
  • One year's complimentary membership of the NZ Concrete Society
  • Complimentary attendance at the following year's NZ Concrete Industry Conference (includes registration, travel expenses up to NZ$300, and two nights accommodation)
Recipients are selected by a committee of the NZ Concrete Society from applications received from students at NZ tertiary education institutes.  The selection committee shall recommend that no award be made if it considers there to be no suitable candidate in any year.

Nominees will be students undertaking their final year of undergraduate study OR students undertaking post-graduate research.

Applications must reach the Secretary of the NZ Concrete Society before the end of the last working day in September.  The form of the final application is to be decided by the applicant, but should include a supporting statement from a member of the academic staff of the applicant's tertiary education institute.
